Writers of Mason: Stanley Zoltek

Stanley Zoltek was a true friend to the WAC program. He was one of the original supporters of the WAC initiative, helping to establish the Faculty Senate’s WAC Committee in 1993. Stanley chaired the WAC committee for a number of years as well and was also eager to help with our projects and events. He always brought great insight and energy to our committee’s work with student writers. He will be greatly missed on our campus.

We had the opportunity to interview Stanley for the WoM in Spring 2017, and here are two of his replies.

What kinds of feedback, negative or positive, have stayed with you?
“My students have given me feedback in order to help clarify my writing prompts.”

If you could yourself any advice about being an effective writer, what would it be?
“Do more of it.”
