“It’s always hard to get started. I usually make some form of an outline, and fortunately for the paper I’m working on, we write the methods first, then results, then introductions, and then discussions. And then we write the abstract. I hate writing an abstract when I don’t have a paper to write it from. They’re very useful, but coming up with what you’re going to say before you’ve said it is difficult.”
