“I have always had a mindset that I don’t have to read to become a good writer, I just have to write. But I’m realizing that that’s not the case. I really have to read a lot of material in order to become a good writer. That’s one of the main things that I can think of that I always try and tell myself. Because right now, I don’t have as much time as I had in middle school or even high school with all those summer breaks. I feel like I should have read a lot more because the more I read, there’s more ideas present and more [examples of] the right way to do simple stuff like grammar.”
