Writers of Mason: Sarah Fischer

“If you had to describe your idea for a paper to me in 3-5 sentences, and you could only use 3-5 sentences, what would it be? That exercise is really helpful because people start writing down sentences, and then they think, ‘Oh wait, I only have 3-5 sentences,’ and then they think, ‘I shouldn’t use this sentence because this really isn’t important to my idea.'”

Sarah Fischer is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at George Mason University.
