Chris Thaiss, Originator of GMU WAC Program, to Assume Position in California
The Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) Program has instituted the Chris Thaiss student writing achievements. Working with the Faculty Senate, Chris created and developed the WAC program at George Mason in 1990 and was director until 1998 when he became Chair of the English Department.
This award honors Chris's achievements and wishes him well in his new position as the Clark Kerr Presidential Chair and Director of the University Writing Program at the University of California, Davis. |
